Roommate Connections 2013

Are you looking for a roommate for the NGS 2013 Family History Conference? The NGS Roommate Connections message board might be able to help.

The Roommate Connections message board is the place to post a message if you have a room to share or if you are looking for a person who would like to share their room.

It's easy to get started. Click on the Roommate Connections link at the top of this page or go to Click "About this group" and read the description. Next, click "Join the group." You will be asked to sign in to your Google account if you are not already signed in. Then join the group, choose how you want to receive messages, and start posting.

Please remember that information posted on this public bulletin board will be visible to all users of the site. It is suggested that the initial request include only minimal personal information. Members can then work out details using regular e-mail. Individuals are responsible for cost sharing agreements and NGS is not responsible for making or guaranteeing those agreements.

The NGS Conference Roommate Connections message board is for the sole purpose of finding roommates to share lodging for the NGS 2013 Family History Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. All postings will be reviewed by NGS for content before they appear on the site, usually within 24 hours. Postings not related to the purpose of the site will not be approved.

A few exhibit booths still available

There are a few exhibit booths still available for Las Vegas. These remaining booths are sure to go fast so reserve now.

By exhibiting with NGS you can sell products, create awareness for your organization, and network with other companies and societies who have similar interests. The conference will feature over 100 exhibitors and you could be one of them!

Exhibit booths cost $270 for a business 10’x10’ booth, and $210 for a society 10’x10’ booth. The Exhibit hall will be located at the Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, just steps from the lecture rooms.

The exhibit floor plan may be found at Full exhibiting information including online sales is on the NGS website at

Airline deals to Las Vegas

With just five months before the conference opens in Las Vegas, now is a great time to start shopping for the best air fare.

Southwest Airlines has recently opened up reservations for May. Besides offering competitive fares, Southwest allows all passengers two fifty-pound suitcases and a carry-on with no extra fee. Las Vegas is a hub for Southwest, so it offers a large selection of flights and offers regularly reduced fares to and from Las Vegas. To take advantage of Southwest’s reduced fares, sign up for weekly “Click N’ Save” emails or download the Ding! application to your desktop or iPhone for discounted limited-time deals on specific flights. For additional details and to sign up today, go to Southwest Airlines.

McCarran International Airport is serviced by most major airlines including American, Frontier, JetBlue, United, and more. There are websites that will help you get the best rate. One that I have used is Tripadvisor. The cheap airfare alert sends an e-mail when prices drop.
