Local Host Societies-The Clark County Nevada Genealogical Society

The Clark County Nevada Genealogical Society (CCNGS) was founded in 1976 by Linda (ROBINSON) McEWEN and Karen (CRONK) RAY. The Society’s objectives are to: 1. Furnish aid in genealogical research, 2. Preserve Clark County Nevada records, 3. Stimulate interest and provide education of members and others in genealogy, and 4. Acquire materials and publication of genealogical value for the use of members and others. CCNGS also, provides volunteers in the Heritage Room in the Paseo Verde Library that houses many genealogical resources.

The Clark County Nevada Genealogical Society meets the third Saturday of each month at Paseo Verde Library, 280 S. Green Valley Parkway, Henderson, NV 89012. CCNGS also holds spring and fall seminars; sponsors research trips as well as other genealogical events.

Membership is open to anyone with the same goals as the society (dues $18/individual, $21 Couple) and includes our quarterly publication (The Prospector) and reduced rate at seminars. Society information is found at our website at http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~nvccngs, or Blog at http://www.ccngs.org/.
